Beauty must have | John Frieda's Deep conditioner

I am constantly on a hunt to find a really good deep conditioner, so i was advised by my stylist to use John Frieda products, but from past experience i was really put off!....

After visiting boots i realised that John Frieda brought out a new range for damaged hair (happy days) and it was on sale so i brought 4 different products.

I have been using it for 4 months now and it seems like its working, my hair is defiantly much healthier and the frizz has calmed down dramatically!

I would really recommend this product to those of you who suffer from dry damaged hair, they even have a matching shampoo so double the strength if used together.

Pros
Works wonders
Fruity Smell
Nice packaging

Cons
The consistency very slippery so you have to be quick with your hands

Melaliya wants your help | FitFlops Yey or Nay??

Now i have always laughed at people who wear these shoes, because like... come on... they don't look stylish!!!

But the truth is i have really sensitive feet.... and any shoes that i wear i end up with blisters! (boo hoo Poor me)
So with such good reviews i think i am going to swallow my pride and buy a pair, but are they worth the money??...

Melaliya needs you!!!

  •   Do you own a pair of Fitflops?
  •   Have they helped in any shape or form

Products i love | Silky glowy skin

Now i remember when i was really young my mum use to always use Dove products on me, and the smell was yummm from the shower cream to the moisturising lotion loved it all.

But Dove is one brand that i have not forgotten about, so until this day i still use their products! The Dove supreme Silk Lotion works wonders (OH MY) it leaves the skin looking very glowy and i actually use it as part of my foundation routine for a very flawless finish.

Ohh and it smells very floral

It has a hint of tint, so gives your body that added St Tropez look..... and yes it is not greasy so it moisturises very well and always leaves my skin feeling soft..... I must say this product is a must have for the summer!!

Only annoying downfall, is the product tends to dry around the cap area so you have to clean it every so often!! Bugger

Natural secret | Cellulite buster

Ooohh cellulite the touchy subject which every girl likes to deny!!
Many celebrities go through surgery to get rid of these awful buggers but apparently, Halle Berry is known to use this one beauty secret that i am going to share with you!

Can you guess???....hmmmm

.....The secret is COFFEEEEEEE!! Yes coffee!!

As it contains caffeine (Oooh) when applied on to the skin it increases blood flow, helping to detoxify and breakup cellulit. This is sure to leave your skin feeling smooth, glowy and cellulite free within a matter of months (Amazing!!!!)

This is my own special recipe and It is a very easy but messy process all you need is:
  • 4 table spoons of sugar
  • 3 table spoons of grounded coffee
  • 2 table spoons of Olive oil
  • 1 table spoon of Argan oil
  • 1 table spoon of Peppermint extract
  • Cling film

Mix all the ingredients together, then rub all over your legs and anywhere else you may have cellulite, next get enough cling film to cover both your legs and leave it on for 10-20 minutes, then wash thoroughly with luke warm water and pat dry...

Beauty must have | Macadamia Natural Oil

Before i started to wear the hijab i was someone who loved to dye/bleach my hair every month and straighten it every so often, which led my hair to become dry with split ends! But not anymore ohhhhhhh how i love Macadamia’s healing oil and nourishing leave in cream!!!

I was first introduced to Macadamia oil whilst at my hair dressers as i needed a product that was suitable for curly dry hair, my stylist applied a sample size onto my hair and i fell in love with it there and then!! It smells divineeeeeeeeeee (sort of like men’s aftershave If you like that sort of smell).

I found the oil not sticky which is a bonus because i really get annoyed when I’m left with greasy fingers! The consistency is not runny but just perfect for styling the hair after a bath.

I have been using it for a year now and it has done wonders for me, my hair feels and looks healthy and within the first few months it helped my hair grow rapidly. <3 <3

10/10  Yeyyyy for excellent results

Beauty Secret | The benefits of Almond milk

Now i have been drinking Almond milk for some time now as i really dislike cow’s milk, and may i just mention really loudly that IT IS AMAZINGGGGGGGGG!!!

Almond milk has many benefits as it is high in Omega3 fatty acid which nourishes your skin, hair and nails plus your heart which is an added bonus!

Also it is very anti aging as it contains vitamin E and antioxidants, so it is defiantly something you need in your diet for all those looking to loose weight and look/feel younger...

Another benefit of drinking Almond milk is it is high in vitamins & minerals and contains:
  • Calcium
  • Vitamin E
  • Manganese
  • Iron
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Fiber
  • Phosphorous
  • Selenium
  • Fiber
  • Potassium

Bargain Galore | Makeup storage

If you’re like me and have a huuuuuuuge makeup collection, then you can agree finding a low cost storage unit is pretty hard to find, well look no further... Last week i walked into the Poundshop on Portobello road (London) and i found these beautiesssss!!!!!!

OMG so i had to buy two, they are very suitable to store blushers, eyeliners, lipsticks but unfortunately not big enough to store your foundations and larger items, if i remember they came in 3 different colours baby pink, baby blue and green.
I know that muji also have a version similar to this, so i was really excited to purchase them for pennies!!..And i shall be going back for more to fill up the rest of my collection (Woop woop).

** The above picture is two storage boxes stacked ontop of each other

8/10

Pros
Cheap
Suitable for the smaller items
Does not take too much space

Cons
Not big enough for larger items :-(

Natural secret | Morning light exfoliation

Natural scrubs are the way to go...

First thing in the morning is the best time to have a light exfoliation, to get rid of the oil and dirt that was produced overnight.

I have very sensitive skin and I was using St Ives apricot scrub for some time, but it always led me to breaking out because of the harsh chemicals which my face reacted to (Big no no!) .

So i done some research and came up with this homemade scrub that i absolutely adore, it has cherry tomatoes which have alpha hydroxy acid this regenerates the skin for a more glowy/healthy look and helps removes any excess oils.

It also contains bananas which makes such a fantastic moisturiser and you can feel your skin tighten when applied, the scrub is very nourishing and 10/10 for the pennies saved!!!.

Firstly pour 4 tablespoons of natural yogurt into a bowl, using your fingers mash up half a banana whilst doing this you are also moisturising your fingertips.

Then cut 5 cherry tomatoes in half and place into the bowl.

Add half a sqeeze of lemon with one teaspoon of manuka honey.

Finally add 3 teaspoons of sugar (the sugar will act as a gentle exfoliator).

Stir together and walaaaaaaaa your light exfloation scrub!!!!

Leave the scrub on for 15 minutes and relax........ When washing your face use warm water this will open the pores and allow the excess to nourish the skin..... After washing my face i used Clinque’s liquid facial soap (i will be doing a review about it very soon).

Tip; To close the pores wash your face with a splash of refreshing cold water...

(This makes enough for 4 applications and can be kept for two days in the fridge)

Recipe:
4 tablespoons of natural yogurt
½ Banana
5 cherry tomatoes
1 tablespoon of manuka honey
3 tablespoon of sugar
A squeeze of half lemon
